COVID-19: Afghanistan Reports 15 New Cases

Afghanistan on Monday, Jan. 3, reported 15 new coronavirus cases and three related deaths in 24 hours, official data shows.

Three patients have died of COVID-19 in the previous 24-hours period.

The nationwide infections stands at 158,143 and deaths at 7,364.

Although COVID-19 infections has been at the lowest, officials ask residents to follow health measures.

Worldwide, nearly 290 million people have been infected by the coronavirus, according to a NYT’s tally published on Jan. 3.

The number of global deaths hit 5,441,281.
