COVID-19: Afghanistan Reports 17 New Cases

Afghanistan on Thursday, December 30, reported 17 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, bringing the nationwide case count to 158,056, official data shows.

Also, no patient has died of COVID-19 in the previous 24-hours period. The nationwide deaths stands at 7,356.

Health ministry’s data showed that 36 patients got better in the 24-hours period.

This pushed the total recoveries to 145,606.

Although COVID-19 infections has been at the lowest, officials ask residents to follow health measures.

Worldwide, more than 284.3 million people have been infected by the coronavirus, according to a NYT’s tally published on December 30.

The number of global deaths hit 5,419,449.
