Afghanistan’s foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi on Thursday met with Kyrgyzstan’s vice chairman of the security council Taalatbek Masadykov and other officials in Kabul, said the Taliban spokesman Mohammad Naeem.

It was pledged to maintain ties and continued cooperation between the countries, the spokesman said.

Bilateral ties and assistance have been meeting deliberations in a series of Muttaqi’s meetings with foreign diplomats.

The Taliban say they want international recognition.

They unveiled a new government this month.

However, the Taliban all-male and noninclusive cabinet seems unlikely to win the international support and recognition.
