A Taliban top delegation, led by Shahabuddin Delawar, on Saturday met with Afghan officials, including chairman of the reconciliation council Abdullah Abdullah and former President Hamid Karzai.
Mohammad Naeem, Taliban spokesman for its political office in the Qatari capital of Doha, said that the Taliban officials met with a number political figures in the Afghan capital, Kabul, assuring them of security and safety.
The Taliban delegation has assured that in the future government, all Afghans will be given the opportunity to serve the nation.
The Afghan government led by former President Ashraf Ghani collapsed last week after Ghani fled the country.
Following that, Taliban took over Kabul, but a government is yet to be formed.
