A number of political parties, including Hizb-i-Wahdat (The Unity Party), National Islamic Movement of Afghanistan sometimes known as Junbish and other parties will stand against Taliban, Mr. Noor spoke to reporters in Balkh airport.
He called on Taliban to leave the battlefield and return to the negotiation table. If not, Mazar-i-Sharif will be a cemetery of the Taliban.
Khanullah Shuja, acting head of Shaheen army corps—army in country’s north—spoke to TKG reporter that public mobilizations can work to repulse Taliban and he supports it.
On Monday, armed Taliban had captured Balkh district of the province and had advanced near the entrance of Mazar-i-Sharif city, but were pushed back as Afghan forces arrived.
