Three other militants were also killed during the overnight clash, according to interior ministry’s spokesman.
Barialai was involved in organizing terror attacks and planting roadside bombs in country’s northern provinces, said the spokesman Ahmad Zia Zia.
He was one of the four commander of the Taliban.
The armed group has yet to comment.
