The neighboring country is supplying medical gear, including ventilators, oxygen cylinders and concentrators, thermal guns, PPEs and other equipment to Afghanistan to fight the COVID-19, said Ambassador Sadiq Khan, the Pakistani envoy to Afghanistan.
The medical supplies is set to arrive to Afghanistan today, according to Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Afghanistan on Thursday reported 2,313 new coronavirus cases and 101 related deaths—the highest daily rise since the outbreak entered the country.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Embassy to Kabul announced that its consular section will remain shut for one more week “due to deteriorating situation of Covid-19.” It will take effect on June 20-24.
