Armed Taliban on Saturday killed Samiullah Rashid, religious cleric, in Pul-e Alam city as he went to in a funeral, Gul Haidar Ahmadi, provincial police spokesman, told TKG.
The Taliban militants took him with themselves and “brutally” killed him, he said.
He was a school headmaster in the province, according to the spokesman.
Afghan officials blame Taliban for the murder, but the group officials have yet to comment.
