Provincial media office in a statement said that new police chief of the province has pledged to reduce crime and ensure security in the province.
Meanwhile, Sanaiee Stanikzai, former police chief of the province, has urged residents to assist the new chief of police in ensuring security.
Mr. Sadat has worked in key Ministry of Interior’s posts in several provinces.
The new appointment comes as the province has recently been witnessing high level of Taliban violence.
On Friday, police chief of Farsi district was killed along with eleven of his soldiers in clashes with Taliban.
