An explosion occurred Wednesday morning around 10:00 local time in the third district of Jalalabad city, provincial capital of Nangarhar, said governor spokesman Attaullah Khogyani.
Gulzada Sangar, spokesman for regional hospital in country’s eastern Nangarhar province said two dead bodies and a dozen wounded victims were taken to hospital.
According to him, all the victims were civilians.
The national security directorate has yet to comment.
No one immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.
