Ehsanullah, known as Toofan, a prominent member of the Taliban was killed Friday evening in an airstrike in Khaja Sabzposh district of the province, said Haneef Rezaiee, spokesman for the army in the north.
According to the spokesman, two other militants accompanying him were killed and two others wounded in the raid.
This Taliban member was responsible for majority of terrorist attacks in Khaja Sabzposh district.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
