A man was shot and killed by unknown armed men in Jalalabad city, provincial capital of eastern Nangarhar, officials said.
The incident took place Thursday morning around 7:30 local time in Jalalabad city’s fourth district, said the provincial police spokesman Farid Khan.
The perpetrators managed to flee the area, according to the spokesman, police efforts were underway to arrest them.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
