Police was chasing a robber in the third district of Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul on Monday morning, said Ferdaws Faramarz, a spokesman for the provincial police chief.
The robber clashed with police while the police forces were trying to arrest him, according to the spokesman.
A civilian was wounded in exchange of fire, he added, and was taken to hospital.
The incident was under police investigations.
The police spokesman issued denial to reports that a man was assassinated in nearby places.
