Nangarhar police chief spokesman, Farid Khan, confirmed a roadside bomb struck an army vehicle in the eighth district of Jalalabad city on Monday morning around 9:00 local time.
The bomb attack injured two army soldiers, according to the spokesman, who added the car was destroyed.
There was no claim of responsibility.
Bomb attacks have recently soared in the country already torn by decades long war.
