Four civilians were killed and two others wounded in an armed attack on Monday night, said Najib Ahmad Najib, spokesman for Khost’s police chief.
The victims—all civilians—came under attack when they were on way to home from mosque following Quran recitation.
According to the police spokesman, the dead were members of three families.
The cause of the incident was said to be personal enmity, he added.
Police investigations were underway.
