Police forces in Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul and defused an IED in the fifth district of the city in Kot-e Sangi area.
According to the provincial police spokesman, Ferdaws Faramarz, the IED incorporated a mobile phone and was defused before going off.
There were similar plots in the past that police foiled.
No one has claimed responsibility, nor was there any arrests made.
It comes amid a spike in bomb attacks across the war-torn country, claiming mostly civilians.
