A Taliban roadside bomb has killed and wounded four army soldiers in Afghanistan’s central Kapisa province, officials said.

A roadside bomb on Friday struck a convoy of Afghan army that was on way from Ala Sai to their center in Tagab district of the province, said police spokesman Shaiq Shoresh.

One army soldier was killed and three others wounded in the explosion, according to the spokesman, the Humvee was also demolished.

He added that the Taliban broke the Eid truce following the explosion, storming the Afghan outposts which lasted for hours.

Elsewhere in Urozgan’s provincial capital, security officials have blamed the Taliban for breaking the ceasefire.

One army soldier was killed in the attack in Khanaqah area of Trinkot city, capital of southern Urozgan.

There was no comment from the Taliban.

The Taliban and the Afghan government promised to observe a three-day ceasefire during the Muslim holiday of Eid ul-Fitr.
