Ferdaws Faramarz, a spokesman for the Kabul police confirmed the attack took place in Kalakan district, north of Afghanistan’s capital of Kabul.
He put the casualty figures to one dead and three wounded, adding the wounded were rushed to hospital.
According to the spokesman, efforts were underway to identify type of the bombing.
There was immediate claim of responsibility for the attack.
