According to a ministry’s statement, the operations were carried out in Lashkargah, Nahr-e Siraj, Nawa and other districts of the southern Helmand province.
As many as 106 Taliban, including eight of its commander, were killed and 37 others wounded in Afghan raids in the province.
Clashes between government forces and the insurgent group displaced many families in the province.
There was no immediate comment from the Taliban.
