Coronavirus: Afghanistan Reports 13 New Deaths

Health ministry in Afghanistan on Tuesday (April 27) reported 145 new COVID-19 infections and eleven related deaths in the past 24 hours.

According to Afghan health ministry, as many as 13 more patients have died after contracting the disease, pushing the toll of fatalities to 2,611.

The new deaths were registered in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman and Paktika provinces.

Also, as many as 145 new cases of infection were reported in the country, bringing the nationwide case count to 59,370.

The new infection cases were registered in Kabul, Kandahar, Nangarhar, Balkh, Baghlan, Paktia, Parwan, Takhar, Bamiyan, Maidan Wardak, Badakhshan, Kapisa, Ghazni, Laghman, Panjshir, Zabul, Khost, Paktika and Kunduz provinces.

Some 52,794 patients have recovered from the virus since the outbreak first appeared in China entered the country.
