Government Official Shot Dead in Afghan Capital

According to the sources, Ahmad Fawad Amiri, said to be employee of the Administrative Office of the President, was shot and killed Saturday evening in Paghman district of Kabul province.

Amiri was killed when he was on way to mosque in Muslim Abad area for Tarawih prayer—Muslim ritual prayer offered during Ramadan.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.

The armed men managed to flee the area.

There has yet to be comments from security sources.
