Gunmen on Friday night opened fire in a mosque in provincial capital of Laghman province, in eastern Afghanistan, killing two people.
Assadullah Dawlatzai, a spokesman for Laghman province’s governor, said a tribal elder was among the dead.
According to the governor’s spokesman, another two people were injured in the attack.
Perpetrators managed to flee the area, Mr. Dawlatzai said.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
