Armed Taliban on Friday night attacked on three spots in Zenda Jan district of western Herat province, said Sayed Wahid Qitali, provincial governor.
Afghan forces fended off their attacks on two spots, according to Mr. Qitali.
The militants stormed an outpost in Bazarak area of the district using a car rigged with explosives, the governor added.
At least three Afghan security personnel were killed in the insurgents’ car bombing.
There were no comments from the Taliban yet.
