The Taliban militants last night killed a public servant named Aziz Rahman near the fifth district of Kabul city in Qala-e Kashif area, said police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz.
Police forces took action, killing one militant and arresting another who sustained injuries in clashes with government forces.
Two policemen were lightly wounded in those clashes, the provincial police added.
Two pistols were also seized from the insurgents, according to police spokesman, who added further investigations were underway.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment.
