Unknown Men Shoot Dead Government Official in Kabul

Unknown armed men on Wednesday morning shot and killed man named Ismail in Paghman district of the capital Kabul, provincial police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz confirmed the murder.

Ismail was said to be Head of the Administrative Office of the National Statistic and Information Authority.

The perpetrators have managed to flee the area, according to the spokesman, investigations were underway.

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
