Faizullah and Hazratqul, residents of Faryab’s Pashtunkot district have been arrested in a counterterrorism operation in Maimana city, the provincial capital, said police spokesman Karim Yourish.
The arrested men were involved in communications as well as transferring and placing IEDs, the spokesman added.
The suspects confessed during the intial questioning.
There was no comment from the Taliban yet.
