According to Zaman Hamdard, spokesman for provincial police chief, spoke with TKG, saying as many as 15 armed Taliban were killed and seven others wounded in Afghan forces’ defensive attacks.
He added that three Afghan soldiers, including Abdul Mohammad Sarwari, acting police chief of Sangin district, were killed and another two wounded in the attack.
A security sources has told TKG that at least ten government soldiers were killed in the overnight clashes.
The Taliban in a statement claimed its fighters have inflicted heavy casualties to Afghan forces.
