Two armed robbers chased by police opened fire at policemen on Friday evening in Shorbazar area of the Afghan capital of Kabul, said Tariq Arian, spokesman for the Ministry of Interior.
One policeman and three residents were wounded after robbers shot at policemen, he added.
According to spokesman, the two robbers were killed in police shootings.
The capital, Kabul, has recently been gripped by armed robberies, with people calling on government authorities to take preventing measures.
