The car came under armed attack Tuesday morning around 8:40, said Jawed Besharat, provincial police spokesman.
The car was travelling toward university and it was targeted on way to Pul-e Khumri-Sugar Factory route, he added.
According to the spokesman, a student and the driver were killed and six people who were all university instructors were injured in the attack.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
