WHO’s vaccine safety experts are meeting Tuesday, according to media reports.

Europe reported several cases of blood clots developing after the vaccine was administered.

The European Medicines Agency (EMA) is also meeting on Tuesday, March 16.

The agency is expected to issue its decision whether to continue the use of the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday.

Nearly 17 million people in the European Union States and the United Kingdom have been inoculated with a dose of the vaccine.

Fewer than 40 cases of blood clots were reported as of last week, according to AstraZeneca.
