Security authorities in Afghan eastern province of Nangarhar said police forces have rescued a newborn baby who was abducted from a hospital in Khogyani district of the province.
A woman abducted a newborn baby from a hospital in Khogyani district, said Farid Khan, spokesman for Nangarhar’s police chief.
Police found and rescued the baby in Surkh Rod district of the province, according to the spokesman.
The woman was resident of Pachiragam district living in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa area.
The baby was handed over to its parents on Wednesday.
