These suspects were arrested in six provinces of Afghanistan—Kabul, Balkh, Nimroz, Nangarhar, Khost and Laghman provinces—according to the ministry’s statement.
Some opium, cannabis, heroin as well as some 26,255 addictive drugs were seized in the suspects-related bust.
An investigation into the matter was underway, the ministry elaborated.
