Two mortar rounds were fired late Tuesday during clashes between Afghan forces and the Taliban fighters, said Attaullah Afghan, head of the provincial council.
According to him, one civilian was killed and another ten people, including four children, were wounded in the attack.
Another source from the emergency hospital of the province said on condition of anonymity that at least two dead body and four wounded were taken to hospital.
Security and local officials have not commented yet.
There was no comment from the Taliban either.
