Bomb Attack Foiled in Afghanistan’s Capital

On Sunday morning around 7:15, a bomb was defused after Afghan police forces found it in Fazel Bek area near the fifth police district of the capital, according to police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz.

The bomb was placed inside a flower pot, the spokesman said.

Bomb attacks, caused by sticky or roadside bombs, often unclaimed, have recently gripped the country already torn by decades long war, triggering concerns and fear among people.
