One civilian was killed and another four wounded after a roadside bomb explosion in Behsood district of eastern Nangarhar province, Farid Khan, spokesman for the provincial police chief, told TKG.
It was followed by another blast which took place in Kama district of the province, killing one and injuring another.
Sharifullah Fazli, district governor for Kama, said early Thursday morning, an IED detonated on a car belonging to a local police. According to Mr. Fazli, the police was killed and his colleague wounded in the attack.
No armed group or individual claimed responsibility.
