Taliban militants Sunday night attacked an outpost belonging to Afghan local and public uprising forces on Herat-Qala-e-Naw highway in north of Afghanistan, Abdul Aziz Baig, head of Badghis provincial council spoke to TKG.
Fighters killed five local police and wounded another three after they stormed the outpost, according to Mr. Baig.
He added the Taliban militants took all the military equipment after fall of the outpost.
Security forces could not be reached for comment.
The Taliban officials have yet to comment on the raid.
