Speaking to TKG, Hanif Rezaiee, spokesman for the 209th Shaheen Army Corps, said these militants were killed after Afghan forces’ artillery opened fire at a Taliban position in Baba Yousuf village of Balkh district.
There was casualties to civilians, according to the spokesman.
The spokesman said in another incident, Afghan National Army found and detonated a Taliban plastic keg filled with explosives in Gor Tapa area of Chaharbolak district.
The Taliban group has yet to comment.
