Mortar Attack Kills One in Eastern Afghanistan

The mortar shell was fired Wednesday night by Taliban militants, said Nangarhar provincial media outlet.

Another six people, including four children, who were members of a family were wounded in the attack, according to the source.

The provincial media outlet said in another statement that at least three bombers said to have belonged to the Taliban group were killed Wednesday evening in an air raid in the district.

The Taliban officials have not commented yet.
