Urozgan governor Mohammad Omar Shirzad said at least four government soldiers were killed and another three wounded after a car rigged with explosives targeted their outpost in Chenarak area of the capital city Wednesday around 2:30am.
Afghan forces in the outpost, however, said five soldiers were killed and five others injured in the attack.
Doctors in the provincial hospital in Trin Kot city also confirmed the death of five and added five another were injured.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, saying at least 18 government soldiers were killed in the attack.
