Afghan President Ashraf Ghani has appointed Dr. Waheed Majroh as caretaker of public health ministry, Dawa Khan Meenapal, deputy spokesman for president, took to Twitter Friday.
He will hold the post until a new minister nominee is introduced, according to the spokesman.
Public Health Minister Ahmad Jawad Osmani was dismissed according to a presidential decree.
He secured enough votes of confidence from the Afghan lawmakers in Lower House of Parliament.
