Roadside Bombing Injures 6 Civilians in S. Afghanistan

A roadside bombing on Monday morning injured six passengers travelling on a bus through Afghanistan’s southern Kandahar province, a spokesman for the provincial police said.

Speaking to TKG, provincial police spokesman Jamal Nasir Barekzai, said six civilians were wounded after a bus they were traveling it hit a roadside bomb in Mirakhor area of Maiwand district in southern Afghan province of Kandahar. 

Medical staff had arrived at the scene and rushed the injured people to regional hospitals. 

There was no claim of responsibility for the attack. 

The police spokesman however said the explosion occurred at territory under Taliban control.
