Over a dozen Taliban fighters, including two commander of the group, were killed in overnight airstrikes in the various parts of the Afghan eastern province of Nangarhar.
Nangarhar’s provincial media outlets in a statement said at least 17 Taliban militants were killed after Afghan forces carried out air raids in Spinghar, Momendara, and Surkh Rod districts of the eastern Nangarhar last night.
According to the statement, a number of their weapons were also demolished during the raid.
The Taliban officials have not commented yet.
