A 24-year-old woman named Robina was shot and killed Thursday morning by her husband in Koche Hamam of Taloqan city, the provincial capital of Takhar, after she asked for divorce, said police spokesman Khalil Aseer.
The victim’s husband was named Rahmatullah and police was looking for him to be hunt.
Forced and child marriages and domestic violence at general level are the main causes contributing to divorce and murders in Afghanistan.
