Speaking to TKG, the provincial police spokesman Abdul Ahad Walizada said Ghulam Muhaiuddin, company deputy for the Herat-Islamqala Highway, was killed Wednesday after his car collided into a truck in Lakhshak area of Zendajan district.
Another person who was said to be his colleague was wounded in the incident, according to the spokesman.
Herat-Islamqala is among the most dangerous highways for traffic.
Drivers’ negligence, high speed and collapsed roads are believed to be the main causes and factors that contribute to car collisions.
