Speaking to TKG, provincial police spokesman Ahmad Khan Sirat, said a Kabul Bank employee named Nasir Ahmad Osmani was gunned down by unknown armed men in Haji Rafi Town near the second security district of the capital city.
Osmani was shot when he was on way to work Tuesday morning, according to the spokesman.
Police had arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and launched its investigations, Mr. Sirat added.
There was no claim of responsibility for the attack.
A surge of targeted killings and assassinations, often unclaimed, has gripped Afghanistan, and violence has dramatically increased in recent weeks.
Those being targeted are mostly journalists, representatives from the civil society, clerics and/or government officials.
