At least 76 people tested positive for the coronavirus pandemic within the past 24 hours, said the health ministry Sunday, adding the country lost nine more COVID-19 patients during the same period.
The new patients died from the illness pushed the total deaths to 2,288, according to ministry’s figures.
Also, 208 patients having been contracted with the COVID-19 disease have recovered over the past 24 hours, bringing the toll of coronavirus recoveries to 43,948.
Worldwide, at least 1,925,408 have died and over 89.4 million more have been infected since the start of an outbreak that first appeared in Wuhan, China, in early December.
