Earlier, Wahidullah Tawhidi, spokesman for the Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, had said the neighboring country reduced its power supply to Afghanistan up to 169 MW.

But the company said in a statement Sunday, January 10, the electricity imports has been increased up to 300 megawatts and efforts were underway to provide more than 450 MW of electricity.

Tajikistan has meanwhile limited its electricity imports from 90 to 60 MW, according to Afghan official Tawhidi.
