Shaima Rustamian, head of the provincial council, spoke to media saying the explosions took place Friday evening near a security outpost in Kajaran district of central Daikundi province.
At least two police officers were killed and another one was wounded in the explosions.
The wounded people were in good health condition, said the local official.
No armed group has so far commented or claimed responsibility.
