Attaullah Khogyani, spokesman for the governor of eastern Nangarhar province, said a man named Ehsanullah was killed after a rickshaw struck a roadside bomb Thursday morning near Bagh-e-Zanana in the first district of Jalalabad city.
The spokesman did not elaborate on further details.
Media however cited officials in the province that the bomb attack has targeted public order forces, leaving one civilian killed and two members of the government public order wounded.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
