Afghan Air Forces have targeted a bombing cache belonging to the Taliban in Nawa district of southern Helmand province, said a statement by Afghan Ministry of Defense.
At least 28 Taliban insurgents were killed and a dozen more wounded in the raid, said the statement, adding the cache and a number of group’s weapons were also demolished.
Likewise in western Farah province, at least 26 Taliban fighters were killed and another 14 wounded after Afghan government forces fended off the militant’s planned attack in Bala Bolok district of the province, said the ministry.
The group officials however have not commented yet.
